Plague
This plague is
becoming increasely prevalent spreading thatroughout the city.

The original sentence is fine, but I feel this is more natural.

Fruitful
This was a fruitful meeting
,; we learnt lots of things from each other.

These apple trees are fruitful.

I don't know if this is wrong, but fruitful is not usually used so literally. If you look on Webster (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fruitful), you'll see examples more like "fruitful soil" or "fruitful rain" rather than the literal "plants" or "trees" on which the fruit actually grows.

I feel "bountiful" might actually be more natural here.

Plague This plague is becoming increasely prevalent in that city.

He was plagued by his mean boss when he worked in that shop.

This isn’t wrong, but “While he worked in the shop, he was plagued by his mean boss,” sounds more correct to me, somehow. I can’t explain it no matter how hard I think about it.

2.

These apple trees are fruitful.

Feedback

I didn’t correct them because without context you could be correct, but you use demonstratives (“this, that”) a lot where an English-speaker would use a definite article (“the”). If something is well-known to the audience, you can use “the”. For example, when talking to my family while outside the house, I might say “the dog is probably lonely right now.” Because it’s my family, they will know when I say “the dog” I mean “the specific dog that lives with us.”
