When I was a child in a small village, people in my village planted many poplar trees. Poplar trees grow very fast and tall. People thought it was a tree that could make money quickly.
In summer, we children liked to play in the poplar groves. It was cooler inside the groves than outside. We shot birds, captured cicadas, played games, or just chased each other around in the poplar groves.
Nowadays, there are still many poplar trees in the countryside and they look the same as the old poplar trees years ago. But every springtime, the poplar trees produce a lot of catkins which are everywhere like snow.
The poplar catkins seriously affect our lives. We need to wear masks as well as prevent them from catching fire, etc. In short, the poplar catkins bring people too much trouble.
Does your area have poplar trees? Do the poplar trees also grow catkins? Thank you guys very much in advance.

Poplar trees grow very fast and grow to be very tall.
Since you can say "Poplar trees grow very fast" and "Poplar trees grow very tall", you might think to combine them into "Poplar trees grow very fast and tall", but this is unnatural to read because "grow" in the first sentence refers to the process of growth but in the second sentence refers to the result of growth. So it's more natural to convey these ideas separately as I have done in my correction.
