Flowers are, needless to say, beautiful, and I admire people who are good at taking care of plants. Unfortunately, I’m not one of them. Each plant seems to have its own preferences for water, sunlight, and other conditions. Sometimes on Instagram I see people who manage to grow many plants even in rooms with very little sunlight, and I think that’s amazing.
I’ve tried growing several plants myself, but my favorites are succulents. Their plump leaves come in round, oval, or even triangular shapes, and they look so cute. Since they come from dry regions, they don’t need much water, and watering them once a month is usually enough. I bought two pots of succulents last November, and they’re thriving on my balcony.
The problem is that succulents need plenty of sunlight and good air circulation, so I can’t really keep them indoors. I wish I could surround myself with them in my room and take care of them there.
I bought two pots of succulents last November, and they’re thriving on my balcony.
"two pots of succulents" isn't wrong, but when I read it, it sticks out. I think it's because the focus of the sentence is on the plants, and thus the noun "pot" is distracting. Someone else had a correction on the same thing and theirs was also good because "potted" isn't a noun, but an adjective, so the subject is still just the plants. I just wanted to provide another alternative.
The problem is thatUnfortunately, succulents need plenty of sunlight and good air circulation, so I can’t really keep them indoors.
I think "unfortunately" fits a little better here in the context of the rest of the discussion around succulents because it outlines that it is a disappointment for you. Using words like "favorite" "look so cute" and "thriving" gives the reader an understanding that you like them and "unfortunately" is a nice little bow on top to elicit a sympathetic feeling in the reader. Especially with the next sentence as your closing.

Great work! I have several plants in my office at work I've grown over the years. Mostly they are vine plants that grow easily indoors. My pride though is a two foot avocado tree that I grew from my lunch a couple years ago. Although...It's a little weird to call it a tree because it is pencil thin due to being in a small pot and indoors. It's been around for a surprisingly long time though!

The problemA challenge is that succulents need plenty of sunlight and good air circulation, so I can’t really keep them indoors.
"The problem" is fine, but "A challenge" is slightly more neutral. A challenge is something to overcome, a problem is something that needs to be fixed. If that makes sense.
I wish I could surround myself with them in my room and take care of them there.

You could try air plants, they do ok in indirect light.
But to be honest, I've managed to kill those too.
Plants are difficult. 😩
