Like below, "also" sets up a more dramatic contrast.

Then the stronger will get stronger and the weaker will get stronger.


Then the stronger will get stronger and the weaker will also get stronger. Then the strong will get stronger and the weak will also get stronger.

"The strong" = "stronger people" fits with other idioms in my mind. You could also add "also" to accentuate the similarity between outcomes.
