Diary: International Day Against Homophobia...
Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
While the LGBTQ+ community is still not supported in China, I am glad that many people are speaking out on social media today. In my college classes, I was most proud of talking about LGBTQ+ in my "Don't Get Married to Love" presentation, even though the teacher seemed uncomfortable with it.
After thinking about it for a long time, I think I identify as queer. My biological sex is female and my sexual orientation is male. I grew up not liking a lot of "girly" things. I didn't like dolls, dresses, princesses, and I never wore makeup. I have long hair , because when I had short hair, I was always identified as a boy and that bothered me. I crave adventure. I realize that these are stereotypes, like boys like blue and girls like pink. But now I'm confused about how to define male and female, if stereotypes don't matter.
