I haven't been to Japan, so I can't say much, but I feel that people don't question the rules as much. Like how last year, a viral post on how women are forced to wear heels at workplaces caused that rule to change; if people don't make their voices heard, they won't get change, it'll remain 当たり前

Not sure about the rest of the sentence without context, but "in abroad" doesn't sound idiomatic to me (if it wasn't just a typo).
