This is a continuation from my last post.
When we arrived at South Ferry Station, some people talked to us.
They asked us "Would you like to get on the ferry ?" but I said "No, we won't get on. We just would like to walk around the park."
However, another person asked us the same way.
We probably got asked about it about five people, so we were like "Wait, what? We can't just walk around the park?"
I asked them "Can we walk around the park ?" and they asked again "Just walk around ?" I said YES and they said "Okay."
We saw the Statue of Liberty from the park, but it was too small.
It was too far to see it from the park, but we managed to take some pictures.
To be continue.....I'm going to write about what we eat for lunch in my next entry.
Our Trip to New York Part 3
This is a continuation ofrom my last post.
When we arrived at South Ferry Station, some people talked to us.
They asked us "Would you like to get on the ferry ?"
but I said "No, we won't get on.
Like someone else said, this isn't incorrect, but it's more natural to say, "No, we're not getting on".
We just would just like to walk around the park."
However, another person asked us the same waything.
A literal translation of 同じように is "in the same way," but I think "the same thing" sounds more natural.
We probably got asked about it by about five people, so we were like "Wait, what?"
We can't just walk around the park?"
I asked them "Can we walk around the park ?"
and they asked again "Just walk around ?"
I said YES and they said "Okay."
We saw the Statue of Liberty from the park, but it waslooked too small.
"It looked" makes it sound more natural when describing how something appears from a distance.
It was too far to see itclearly from the park, but we managed to take some pictures.
To be continued..... I'm going to write about what we eate for lunch in my next entry.

When I was a kid, I had family who lived near New York, so I saw the Statue of Liberty quite a few times. I'm glad you got to see the Statue of Liberty, even if it was from far away!

This is a continuation from my last post.
When we arrived at South Ferry Station, some people talked to us.
They asked us "Would you like to get on the ferry ?"
bBut I said "No, we won't get on.
This is not grammatically incorrect, but it would sound a lot better lie "No, we're not getting on".
We just would just like to walk around the park."
However, another person asked us the same waything.
I understand that they asked the same question, in which case "way" is incorrect.

Very well done! It sounds like you had a fun trip!
They asked us, "Would you like to get on the ferry ?"
but I said "No, we won't get on.
You can also say, "No, we wouldn't" (a reply to 'would you like to...' ---> 'no, we wouldn't like to'). Either one is fine! 👍
However, another person asked us in the same way.
The sentence was already correct, but the "in" makes the meaning clearer.
We probably got asked about it by about five people, so we were like "Wait, what?
We cCan't we just walk around the park?"
Sentence was already correct, this just sounds more natural and has clearer meaning.
We saw the Statue of Liberty from the park, but it was too small.
By "too small," you are saying it was far away and more difficult to see. When I first read it, I thought you meant that the statue was, in a literal sense, too small in size, like it was smaller than you expected. It is uncommon to use the word 'small' by itself for something far away, but it is okay here because you provide context in the next sentence 👍
To be continued.....I'm going to write about what we eat for lunch in my next entry.

Most of it was very minor grammar corrections. This is very well-written!
Super exciting, too! I'm so glad you got to visit New York. Stay safe and have a great day!
