After that, we returned home, o. On the way, we bought some strawberries and grapes, because we love to eat fruits.

When we weregot at home, I cooked some steak and vegetables for dinner.

In the meantime, my girlfriend was coomaking the lunch for the next day.

"Cooking" is okay too, but people use "making" more often.

Finally, we went to sleep,; we were really tired.

"started to work" sounds like you began some task, which may or may not be related to your job. Whereas "started work" sounds like you began your job specifically.

Whenever you list yourself with other people (either using me or I), you should always put yourself last - though this is a common grammar mistake even for native speakers.

As we were in the mall, we decided to have a coffee and biscuits and talk about our day.

After that, we returned home, and on the way, we bought some strawberries and grapes, - we love to eat fruits.

When we were agot home, I cooked some steak and vegetables for dinner.

At 8:00 pm, I tookhad my English classes, which took around 2 hours.

This is fine if your had classes at a scheduled time (like at a school). If you're studying on your own, it maybe a bit more natural to say "I studied English for about 2 hours" instead.

In the meanDuring that time, my girlfriend was cooking theed (prepared) lunch for the next day.

In this case, "meantime" doesn't quite sound right to me. I think it's because usually when we say "meantime" the two tasks are directly related in some way, but I'm not 100% sure.

Finally, we went to sleep, - we were really tired.
