Just a couple of days ago, the Janan government announced that they would be releasing some treated nuclear waste into the sea. All the waste occurred back to the year 2011, which was produced by a nuclear plant believed to still have a lot of radioactive materials in it.
Japan's government suggested they had weighed the potential benefits and potential environmental issues, and eventually believed that the benefits would outweigh the risks.
I hope scientists will find more secure methods to keep the safety of nuclear power plants in any places in the world.
