Something about Wukong

"Black Myth: Wukong" seems to have been a hit recently. Even though I'm not a game player, I've heard it many times.

I don't know much about that game, but I am quite familiar with the character, Wukong.

I've watched the TV series "Journey to the West" almost every summer holiday since I can remember, till I went to middle school.

As you may already know, the game "Black Myth: Wukong" is based on the novel "Journey to the West", written around 430 years ago.

The novel was inspired by the real story of Master Xuanzang, who had found that different Buddhist teachers said different things so he decided to go west to get the classic books. It was 1,395 years ago.

There's some common line between Master Xuanzang and Wukong: they both have a firm target, their way to the target is quite hard and both of them finally get it.

Classic books sounds like it would include old books that may still be written by these different Buddhist teachers. Admittedly I don't know much about 西游记. I'm not sure if "teachers" is the best word to call them, but it's passable at least.
