I occasionally talk to an English native speaker. Yesterday I talked to an Australian household whose husband is a professor at a University, and do a walking race sometimes. He has been studying catalysis for a long time. He currently works in cooperation with Tokyo University.
He sometimes comes to Japan to make a speech in Tokyo University with her, when he comes to Japan alone, she makes a fuss so much. She herself has a doctorate degree, and they met in same Univesity. Actually, she was a system engineer. She has a daughter of year eleven, and has to take a University exam next year. According to her, her daughter's sore is pretty good, straight As.
Even score of Bs can enter the University because her daughter wants to study genetics, which is not popular in Australia. Competitive rate about it is not so high that she's not worried about her daughter. Her daughter wants to study at graduation school to obtain a doctorate degree, and wants to study abroad.
It was not until yesterday that she said she and her daughter would come to the Nigata prefecture of Japan next year after her daughter finish to take the exam. I think it's a kind of award to come together with her daughter.
