Happy New Year, everyone!
I struggled with many difficult things in the last year.
It was like I suddenly got a wild horse that wouldn’t listen to what I said.
I wanted to give up on keeping it but that would never be possible since the horse couldn’t survive by itself.
So I had to raise it even though the horse kicked me and I got hurt.
One day I realized the horse was opening its heart to me and sometimes wants to be stroked.
Sometimes it allows me to ride on its back...
This is just my fictional story, but now I’m feeling like I am with that horse.
This year I will challenge myself with that horse.
I believe there’s always hope, and we are walking together towards a place filled with happiness.
My image of 2020 is like that :)
I hope this year brings all of you a lot of happiness and joy!

This year I will challenge myself with thate horse by my side.
I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here. Are you saying that you made peace with the horse, and this year, you and the horse will challenge whatever obstacles that appear?
My 2020’s image is like thatThat’s my image for 2020 :)I hope this year brings all of you a lot of happiness and joy!
I wish you a lot of happiness and joy too!
Happy New Year 2020, everyone!
I agree that saying either "New year" or "2020" is more natural.
There were a lot of tough things for me to handle last year.
It was like I suddenly got a wild horse that wouldn’t followlisten to what I said.
I wanted to give up on having it but it never be allowed since that horse couldn’tthe horse up, but I couldn't since it wouldn't have been able to survive by itself.

One day I realized the horse iwas opening his/herits heart and sometimes wantsed to be stroked.

There were a lot of tough things to handle last year.
It was like I suddenly got a wild horse that wouldn’t followlisten to what I said.
You can say 'listen to what I said' or 'follow my orders/instructions'.
I wanted to give up on havkeeping it, but ithat would never be allowedpossible since thate horse couldn’t survive by itself.
'allowed' is grammatically okay, but not so natural. Even better would be 'but I couldn't' instead of 'it would never be allowed'
So I had to raise it, even though the horse kicked me and I got hurt.
One day I realized the horse iwas opening his/her heartits heart to me and sometimes wants to be stroked.
It's unusual to say 'his/her'. You can use 'its' because it is an animal.
Sometimes it allows me to ride on his/herits back.
You could also say 'it lets me ride'. Because you call the horse 'it', you must use 'its' later.

This year I will challenge myself with that horse.
I believe there’s always a hope, and we are walking together toward thes a place filled with happiness.
Hope as a noun is usually not singular. And I changed 'the' to 'a' because I hope there's many places filled with happiness, not just one :)
My 2020’s imageimage of 2020 is like that :) I hope this year brings all of you a lot of happiness and joy!
If you say 'My 2020's image', it sounds like 2020 is 'my 2020', so you need to move the year away from 'my'.

I haven't made too many changes to this because I don't want to move too far away from what you wrote.
I like how you described 2019 as a horse. It's a creative metaphor, but it also makes sense. It seems like you've overcome a lot this year, based on your description here and your past journal entries. I hope you have a good 2020 ahead!

Happy New Year 2020, everyone!
There were a lot of tough things to hmandlage last year.
Handle is not wrong, but 'manage' or 'deal with' sounds more natural.
It was likeas if I suddenly got a wild horse that wouldn’t followlisten to what I said.
that wouldn't.... follow my orders. OR listen to what I said. OR do what I wanted.
I wanted to give up on having it but it never be allowed sinceit but that wasn't possible given that horse couldn’t survive by itself.
So I had to raiselook after it even though the horse kicked me and I got hurt.
One day I realized the horse iwas opening his/herits heart and that sometimes it wantsed to be stroked.
Sometimes it allows me to ride on his/herits back.
You need to pick one of it / he / her, and stick with it. If you don't know the sex of the horse, you can use it.
This is just mya fictional story, but now I’m feeling like I am with? that horse.
It's not clear what you mean here. Do you feel like you are the horse? Or that you are the owner of the horse? Or that you are entering the new year in the company of the horse?
This year I will challenge myself with? that horse.
This sentence needs more detail. You will challenge yourself to do what with the horse? Make friends? Control it? Work together?
I believe there’s always a hope, and we are walking together toward the place filled with happiness.

I struggled with many difficult things (OR issues) in the last year.
"Struggle with" and "face" are more active verbs that you could use here, if you wanted to. "Face" has a nuance of confrontation, you can "face your fears". It is like you either have to or are choosing to look these things in the eye. "Struggle" implies difficulty. You can struggle to carry something heavy or a difficult fight can be called a "struggle".
It was like I suddenly got (OR had) a wild horse that wouldn’t followrefused to obey me (OR listen to what I said OR follow my orders OR do what I said).

I wanted to give up but the horse couldn't survive without me.
"Give it up" means to give up on having something. If you don't want a baby, you can "give it up for adoption". You can also just say "give up", as in giving up on the situation or the problem.

You can use either 'it' or the singular 'they' to refer to the horse, so long as you always use the one you pick. You used 'it' earlier, so I will be using 'it'. :)
Sometimes it allows me to ride on his/herits back.

Your original sentence is fine, but these are some options that might be more natural. I do not think I quite got the feeling of it, but these feel closer to me.
