Natural Isn’t Always the Best Choice 天然がいつもベストではない

Since the wooden chopsticks I had been using snapped, I bought a pair of plastic ones this time.
At first, I thought chopsticks should be made of wood, but I’ve found that the plastic ones work just as well.
They have a comfortable weight and are easy to use because the tips don’t slip.

It’s the same with clothes. I used to believe that natural materials like cotton and linen felt better on the skin,
but actually, synthetic fabrics dry more quickly.
Clothes made of cotton or linen wrinkle easily and are hard to keep in good shape.
Synthetic ones, on the other hand, dry fast and feel light and comfortable to wear.

When it comes to food, it’s better to choose natural and less processed options,
but when it comes to the tools and things we use every day,
it’s more practical to choose whatever material suits the purpose best.

Since tThe wooden chopsticks I had been using snapped, broke, so I bought a pair of plastic ones this time.

The original sentence is fine, but it sounds better to not start sentences with "Since...", so I changed the structure of the sentence to this.

At first, I thought chopsticks should (only) be made of (or from) wood, but I’ve found that the plastic ones work just as well.

Well done! Now that you mention it, plastic chopsticks do feel just as good, if not better than wooden ones. I wish all the restaurants here that use metal chopsticks would swap to plastic! lol

Thank you! I remember being shocked when I first saw metal chopsticks, since the only ones I knew were wooden or plastic. I wonder if they ever accidentally bite them. I used to do that when I was a kid.

SUGGESTION: Delete the 2nd "I" -- no need to repeat "I" twice in the same sentence.

Thank you!

At first, IMy initial thought was chopsticks should be made of wood, buand yet I've found thatdiscovered now the plastic ones work just as well.

They have a comfortable weight, and are easy to use because the tips don’t slipseemingly a higher friction at the tips.

It sounds like you felt a second difference but don't know exactly why, it's unknown.

Feedback

To be honest, I very much appreciate cotton blankets. somehow I get gross feelings from moving large sheets of synthetic material. That being said I agree it's little use in comparison to the dust of cars etc. Ideally things could be made in house from natural principals, but it's a lesser priority somehow or another.
