In the early eighties, I studied in Fuyang city. Every time I go back to my village during the summer vacation or winter break, I always feel sad because the village hasn’t even changed a little since I left it. In the following decade when I got a job, it was still in its old shape that I remembered at my young age. Maybe in the 2010’s, our village started to change and it seemed very quick. Each family built a new house with three or four floors and the roads were all renewed to cement. Not to mention tap water, telephones, networks and cars. Back in the old days, what we lived in was just a thatched cottage, mud road, no electricity, wherever we went we just took a walk and we didn’t even have a bike. Every time I think of those days when we didn’t even have enough food to eat, I often feel sorrow. However, all of those days have passed and now, my old neighbors all have better living conditions. But if the plans for the countryside could be more reasonable, the public facilities are perfect. It would be a smart choice to live in the countryside. In a word, the countryside has developed really fast in recent years. I am very glad to see these.
