My Uncle

The new year is coming soon. It is a day for family reunion. My uncle went home yesterday. He has been very good to me. Today he took me to the county town and he bought me a lot of my favorite snacks. On the way shopping I took a fancy to a bag. I hesitated to buy it or not. While I was hesitating, my uncle found my caution and bought it for my for me without hesitation .At this time, I felt that I was the happiest girl in the world.

“Came” and “went” are used similarly to 来 and 去 in Chinese. “Went” describes movement AWAY from you. “He went home” means he left you and went to his home. If you were already at home and he joined you there, use “came”: “My uncle came home.”
