Yeah I'm also not sure what you would call this. I think "self-education book" is better than "self-teach book." Maybe "a book meant for self-studiers."

I use that book for my selfish self-education.

"Selfish" is when you only care about yourself.

I watch a lot of TV-series in English,. "Supernatural" is my favorite one.

I have been watchwatched that show many times in Russian language.

‘Resource’ sounds more natural to me here. ‘Source’ is more often used to mean ‘origin’ or ‘where something came from’. People often say textbooks are a good ‘resource’ (= a useful thing) for studying a language.
