Summer is finishing and I am remembering tcoming to an end, and I am thinking about what I did this summer, and twhat iI remember about it.¶

you can use ‘I am trying to go to’ if you are doing that ‘now’, but it depends on the context.

This sentence is technically not wrong, but to me it sound quite unnatural since you can’t literally ‘go on a date’ with a movie theatre.
