My Memory of Assisi
After enjoying a satisfying breakfast at a homely cold buffet, I set out for a walk. Strolling leisurely, I climbed up and down the cobblestone streets within the city walls, where I had gotten so lost the previous night, savoring the sense of wonder.
Bathed in sunlight, the town gleamed in an ivory hue, looking truly beautiful.
Before long, I reached the Basilica of St. Francis. The weather was perfect, and the air was crystal clear.

OK, but be careful with the word 'homely". You have used it correctly in UK English, but in North American English, "homely" means ugly or unpleasant. Personally, it's a word I just avoid using because of the contradictary meanings.
