This video reminds me of when I was scammed several times a few years ago.
One time I was at work, and I suddenly received a phone call. A guy asked me in a very murderous tongue, "Are you Jack?" I said, "Is there anything wrong?" He said, "You may have done something immoral. My friends in the underworld asked me to screw you up. You know, we have no grudges. I don't want to kick your ass. Do you know what you should do to settle the case?" I said, "Who are you?" He said, "I am Sun Laosi, from the northeast." I said, "Sorry, you might have called the wrong number. I am not Jack." He said, "Don't play tricks with me, you know who you are, and what bad things you have done. If you are not being honest, you have to watch out for your hands and legs!" I said, "Sorry, you are really calling the wrong person." He said, "okay, from now on, Jack, you should be very careful about your safety when you ever step out of your door. You should never be caught by my underworld brothers!"
I also received scam calls from "courts" and "Public Security Bureaus", as well as scam messages.
After I started learning English, I downloaded several English learning apps where I also encountered many scammers.
Fortunately, I have the born-with intuition that I can identify scammers by taking with them for several minutes.
My Long Message in a WeChat Group
This video reminds me of when I was scammed several times a few years ago.
One time I was at work, and I suddenly received a phone call.
A guy asked me in a very murderous tongue, "Are you Jack?"
I said, "Is there anything wrong?"
He said, "You may have done something immoral.
My friends in the underworld asked me to screw you up.
You know, we have no grudges.
I don't want to kick your ass.
Do you know what you should do to settle the case?"
I said, "Who are you?"
He said, "I am Sun Laosi, from the northeast."
I said, "Sorry, you might have called the wrong number.
I am not Jack."
He said, "Don't play tricks with me, you know who you are, and what bad things you have done.
If you are not being honest, you have to watch out for your hands and legsbetter watch your head!"
I don't know if you meant that literally or if "You have to watch out for your hands and legs" is an expression in your language. But in english if you want to say a death threat say "you better watch your head"
I said, "Sorry, you are really are calling the wrong person."
By putting "really" before are, you add an emphasis to it.
He said, "okay, from now on, Jack, you should be very careful about your safety when you ever you step out of youra door.
You should never be caught by my underworld brothers!
"
I also received scam calls from "courts" and "Public Security Bureaus", as well as scam messages.
After I started learning English, I downloaded several English learning apps where I also encountered many scammers.
Fortunately, I have the born-with intuition that I can identify scammers by taking with them for several minutes.
