My Hometown
My hometown is situated in a vast plain, where it is all farmland. Looking around, there are only villages, crops, trees, rivers and roads.
The place where I live used to be a poor area in China. Even now I still think so, although it is much better than before. In the past, some villagers here didn't even have enough food to eat, so they had to go to other areas to beg.
The most developed places in China are in coastal areas, such as the coasts of Shandong Province, Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province, Fujian Province and Guangdong Province. Industry in these areas is developed.
The main industry for my area is agriculture because there is a lot of farmland here. But it seems that an area based on agriculture can never be rich and developed.
Either way, compared with that in the past, my hometown has made significant progress. It's now a third - tier city in China and among the top 100 Chinese cities.
