My examination

Today I got up early even though I had no online class, the reason being that today was the day of my examination.

This examination is occurring because of a great opportunity that is currently being offered to students of my school who are enrolled in English XI. If we meet the standarts required on the two tests, four of us will be the chosen representatives of my school in an international event that will take place next year.

The test consisted of writing an essay between 140-190 words, with a 50-minute time limit; the topic was presented to us on the same day and we had to write about how English has become an international language, as well as the benefits of studying abroad. The next test will be an oral one.

Even though there is not a lot of competitors in it, it was still nerve-wracking. And I'm not sure if I passed the first test, as I'm waiting for the results which will be announced on Wednesday.

Mi exámen.

Hoy desperté temprano aún cuando no tenía clases en línea, la razón siendo que hoy fue el día de mi exámen.

Este exámen esta ocurriendo por una gran oportunidad que actualmente está siendo ofrecida a los estudiantes de mi escuela inscritos en inglés XI. Si cumplimos con los estándares requeridos en los dos exámenes, cuatro de nosotros serán los representantes elegidos de mi escuela en un evento internacional que tendrá lugar el próximo año.

La prueba consistió en escribir un ensayo de entre 140-190 palabras, con un límite de tiempo de 50 minutos; el tema fue presentado el mismo día y tuvímos que escribir acerca de cómo el inglés se ha convertido en un idioma internacional, así como los beneficios de estudiar en el extranjero. La siguiente prueba será una oral.

Aunque no hay muchos competidores en eso, siguió siendo algo angustiante. Y no estoy segura si pasé la primera prueba, como estoy esperando los resultados que serán anunciados el miércoles.
