My day

Hello My New Journal!

I have found this site today and decided to open my own journal here. It will be about my day.

This morning I was awoken at 8 a.m. by my little kitten. He wanted to play and started jumped on my bed. A little after I opened my eyes and watched FB news in my phone. Then I revised 53 English phrases in Memrise (it's a special programme in the Internet) and got up. Today I started to do morning exercises again (I didn't do it for two months, because of back ache). I chose exercises for spine and did ten.

After breakfast I had 30 minutes for English practice and went to my work at 10.45

I work as a ballroom dances coach. I had one group lesson for little children and two private lessons at first part of day.

Now I am going to work again for the second part of day lessons. I will have two other private lessons and group lesson for my sport dance students. My kitten is sitting at me now and purring very loudly. He wants me stay at home:))

My day

Hello M, my Nnew Jjournal!

Capitalise every letter here if you want to use this as a title, but it feels more like you are simply saying hello to us :)

I have found this site today and decided to open my own journal here.

"have found" puts this in the present perfect tense. "я обнаружила" is closer to "I found", simple past tense.

It will be about my day.

This morning I was awoken at 8 a.m. by my little kitten.

He wanted to play and started jumpeding on my bed.

or "started to jump" - "начал скакать" translates very directly here!

A little lafter, I opened my eyes and watchedlooked at FB news ion my phone.

"посмотрела ... на" - "looked at", I think. "Watched" makes more sense if you were watching news videos.

Then I revised 53 English phrases in Memrise (it's a special programme ion the Internet) and got up.

I would say "on Memrise", personally, but "in" does work.

Today I started to do morning exercises again (I didn't do ithem for two months, because ofmy back ached).

Or "because of my back ache", "because of my aching back" - these might sort of imply that your back ache is something the listener is already aware of.

I chosedecided on exercises for the spine, and did ten.

"chose" isn't wrong, but it sort of suggests selecting something from a collection or set. "I looked at the list of exercises I know, and chose one for the spine" - very natural. If you are just *thinking* about what to do, "decided" is often good.

"позвоночника" - definitely spine, you used the right word. But we do sometimes say "back" when we mean spine, and "back exercises" is something we might call them.

After breakfast I hadid 30 minutes ofor English practice and went to my work at 10.:45.

"I had 30 minutes for English practice" says you had thirty minutes that you *could have* used for English practice - free time - but it says nothing about whether that was what you did! "I had 30 minutes for English practice, but I spent it playing video games".

I work as a ballroom dances coach.

"dance" is the word you use for the discipline as a whole, "I teach dance". "Dances" focuses on the individual styles of dance. "I teach dances: waltz, foxtrot, salsa, etc".

I had one group lesson for little children and two private lessons atin the first part of the day.

Now I am going to work again, for the lessons in the second part of day lessonsthe day.

Or just "for the afternoon classes".

I will have two other private lessons and a group lesson for my sports dance students.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Your dance students who are athletes? Your students who do an athletic form of dance, or dance competitively?

"sports dance" seems the most natural way to say the words you've chosen, but I don't know what would truly be correct!

My kitten is sitting aton me now and purring very loudly.

"sitting with me" may also work.

He wants me to stay at home :))

We don't do this in English))), smiley faces are treated like words and get spaces. :)

Then I would say, "a group lesson for my competitive dance students." Maybe just "competitive students".
