I used to like collecting books, but now I've sold most of my books I have had for a long time.
I only have a few books for studying English.
I also like buying clothes.
However, it's a hustle to organize all the clothes if you have lots of items.
So I made a rule.
If I buy a new clothes I get rid of one item, so that my wardrobe won't get too many clothes.
My Current Rule
I used to like collecting books, but now I've sold most of my books I havethat I had for a long time.
I only have a few books for studying English.
I also like buying clothes.
However, it's a hustassle to organize all theof your clothes if you have lots of ithems.
"Hustle" has different meanings, but I think it doesn't go with the sentence you're writing here. "Hassle" is a good word to use when talking about something that's 大変 in English.
So I made a rule.
If I buy a new clothes, I get rid of one item, so that my wardrobe won't gethave too many clothes.

That's a good strategy if you like buying clothes! My strategy is a bit different. I just don't buy new clothes very often, so I don't have many clothes that I need to organize. 😅

How I’d write this.

I only havekept a few books for studying English.
Or:
→ I only have a few books left for studying English.
I also like buying clothes.
However, it's a hustle to organize all the clothes[x] to keep organized if you have lots of itemclothes.
[X]
→ a pain
→ difficult
→ impossible
→ annoying
→ a never ending job
etc.
So, I made a rule.
If I buy a new clothes I get rid of one item, so that my wardrobe won't get too many clothes.
Every time I buy a new piece of clothing, I have to get rid of one that I already own. That way, my wardrobe will not overflow with clothes!

You can't use article a/an with clothes because it's a plural noun.
However, it's a hustle to organize all the clothes if you have lots of items.
