My Ancient Greek Teacher

My Ancient Greek teacher, an Italian woman, is a graduate student at the University of Rome and has been staying in Japan for two years. This Sunday, she will be returning to Italy to graduate from university. According to her, she still has a lot to do before she leaves, including packing her bags. In particular, throwing away a lot of things can be quite a hassle. In fact, there are many rules about how to throw things away in Japan. From small furniture to miscellaneous items, we need to follow the rules. For example, furniture and electrical appliances with any side longer than 50cm cannot be disposed of in the trash area. We must apply to the city hall to have them picked up with some fee. Burnable, non-burnable garbage, paper, plastic, bottles and cans must be separated and put out to the garbage bin on designated days. That’s very time-consuming and tedious. Would she be good enough for something like that? I am not sure, but I hope she returns home without any issues.

My Ancient Greek teacher, an Italian woman, is a graduate student at the University of Rome and has been staying in Japan for two years.

This Sunday, she will be returning to Italy tofor her graduate from universityion.

'to graduate from university' is correct too but I think 'for graduation' is more natural.

According to her, she still has a lot to do before she leaves, includinglike packing her bags and getting rid of extra items.

This is just a suggestion, but since you talk about throwing things away in the next few sentences, it might be good to introduce the idea here as one of the things she needs to do before leaving.

In fact, there are many rules about how to throw things away in Japan.

I wonder if you could combine this sentence with the previous sentence. Something like... "In Japan, throwing a lot of things away can be quite a hassle because..."

From small furniture to miscellaneous items, we need to follow the rules.

For example, furniture and electrical appliances with any side longer than 50cm cannot be disposed of in the trash area.

We must apply to the city hall to have them picked up with somefor a fee.

Burnable, and non-burnable garbage, paper, plastic, bottles, and cans must be separated and put out toin the garbage bin on designated days.

That’It's very time-consuming and tedious.

Would she be good enough for something like that?

Maybe "Will she be able to do something like that?"

I am not sure, but I hope she returns home without any issues.
