My 2020 new years resolutions

I made many new year's resolutions every year, most of which ended up in failure.
So, I decided to make only one resolution this year.

I'm going to pass EIKEN Grade 1 in 2020.

EIKEN is a well-known test in Japan to assess English proficiency, which consists of two stages.
The first stage is a written exam including reading, listening, and writing parts. In the writing section, you have to write an essay with about 240 words on a given topic. It is the first barrier for me to pass an exam. Only examinees who pass this first stage can go to the second stage.

The second stage is a speaking test, which will be conducted in a face-to-face interview manner with two examiners. It's the second barrier for me to get through the exam.
To pass the EIKEN Grade 1, I have to memorize many more words, reduce grammatical mistakes, and improve my listening comprehension. There are five months left until the first stage test. I will do my best to pass it.

Thank you for reading this.

Can I ask a question? why shouldn't "including" be used here?

Includes/includingを使うとき、リストアップするときです。なので、「や」と「など」という意味に近いです。
具体的な例を見てみましょう:
Ruby is very hard working and works over the holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. (Implies that Ruby works on more holidays than the 3 listed)
Akihiko can speak many languages, including Chinese and English. (implies Akihiko can speak 2+ languages)
Japanese people believe in a variety of religions, including Shinto, Buddhism, and more.
In short, when you use "including" or "includes" it means there are more to list, but you only list a few as examples.
You can write:
The first stage is a written exam with many parts, including reading, listening, and writing parts/sections.
**Both the sentence I wrote before and this implies/has the nuance that the test has more than 3 sections. Both are correct because you said there are 2 stages. If you want to say there are only 3 sections, you can write: the test consists of/has a reading, writing, and speaking section.

Avoid contractions in your test (I'm, don't, won't, can't etc). They are good when talking to friends, but in the test it would be better to not use them.

My 2020 nNew yYear's resolutions

I've always made many nNew yYear's resolutions everyach year, most of which have ended up in failure.

This sentence is tricky to capture the nuance I think you want! I'll try to explain why, but I don't know if it will really make sense, ahaha.^^;;

"I made" makes it sound like you're talking about one year in particular. So, (for example), like "I made many New Year's resolutions last year." However, this isn't right, because you are talking about many different years.

So, you could say "I've made many New Year's resolutions every year," but I think that makes it sound like you're talking about this coming year as well. That's not right since you're doing it differently this year.

I'm not 100% sure whyd the correction I made sounds more natural to me, but I think it fixes those problems.

So, I decided to make only one resolution this year.
