Usually I go to my workplace by car, but today I gone there by bike.
I often ride a bike during holidays.

“Besides, …” is grammatically correct. “Also…” is an alternate expression. I would say, “Also…”

There's a natural pause after 'Usually' and 'gone' just is not right in this sense. The correct word is 'went'.

Last summer, in Germany, I travelled as far as Berlin in Germany last summer.

This way is more logical and free flowing.
