Since it's a special book (the one you're actually reading) you can both say "Mi libro" or "El libro que estoy leyendo."

I know in English we say with-out, but the Spanish translation is just "sin."

If you mean that she magically creates books, then it's ok "hace", but if she wrotes them, it sounds way better "escribe."
