My first work place is in a county which is located in the mid-eastern part of Anhui province. The county is about 200 kilometers away from the city I now live in.

Because my major is Agricultural Machinery Management, the department I was assigned to was responsible for training agricultural machinery operators in that county.

That year, only two new graduates were assigned to that department. I was from another city, the other was a local person.

My main job is to teach the operators about tractor structure, working principal, use and maintenance, etc.

Living in another city really doesn't feel good. People around me all spoke in their local accent. In the meantime, my accent always reminded them I was a stranger. Therefore, I often miss my hometown.

On April 15th 1989, with the help of my older brothers and some of my relatives, I was finally transferred to my current city, which is also the city the school I graduated from is in.

Even now, I can still imagine what the county was like, because it's where I started working and spent four years of my youth.

My first work place iwas in a county which is located in the mid-eastern part of Anhui province.

You use “is” in the present tense here, but later you say that this was in the past, so I think “was” would be better here

The county is about 200 kilometers away from the city I now live in.

Because my major is Agricultural Machinery Management, the department I was assigned to was responsible for training agricultural machinery operators in that county.

That year, only two new graduates were assigned to that department.

I was from another city, and the other was a local person.

This is correct when speaking, but for writing you should have a conjunction like this “…city, and the other…” or “…city, but the other…”

My main job iwas to teach the operators about tractor structure, working principale, use and maintenance, etc.

Because you are talking about the past, use “was”. Also, principal = a person who works at a school, while principle = a rule

Living in another city really doesn'idn’t feel good.

Use “didn’t” for talking about the past

People around me all spoke in their local accent.

In the meantime, my accent always reminded them I was a stranger.

Therefore, I often miss my hometown.

Thank you very much for correcting my journals. Tenses are the most difficult part of learning English and so far I haven’t mastered them.
