Meeting New Friends Here

I haven't thought of meeting so many friends here at Langcorrect. I received not only corrections, but also detailed explanations and encouraging words.
From my perspective, there're pros and cons studying in this community.
On the positive side, this is a platform where we can receive opinions from international friends and interact with them. Furthermore, we could help other learners with our native languages.
However, being a digital platform, I've found my correctors offering so many details that it's hard to remember them all. Maybe I should jot down some notes, but my time is limited. We just learn our languages and help others at our time intervals, aren't we?
How do you balance writing and correcting? And any trick for retention?

You used "can" in the previous sentence, so it's a good idea to use it here as well.

Feedback

I think it's a good idea to read the corrections and make up new sentences with the same grammar, or think of examples you've seen which fit that format. Good luck!

We tend not to use contractions for "there" + "are" I guess maybe because they both end in an "r" sound

Meeting New Friends Here

I haven'tnever thought ofI’d meeting so many friends here at LangcCorrect.

“Thought of” sounds more like having an idea. “Never thought” is better for an unexpected event.

I received not only corrections, but also detailed explanations and encouraging words.

Technically, commas are only used here to separate things that would be complete sentences without “but.” Even native speakers have trouble with this, though!

From my perspective, there' are pros and cons studying in this community.

There’re is what I would say when speaking out loud but it sounds a little strange in writing.

On the positive side, this is a platform where we can receive opinions from international friends and interact with them.

Furthermore, we could help other learners with our own native languages.

This is optional but adding “own” adds a little weight to the end of the sentence to make the tone ring with more clarity.

However, being a digital platform, I've found my correctors offering so many details that it's hard to remember them all.

Maybe I should jot down some notes, but my time is limited.

How do you balance writing and correcting?

Andlso, any tricks for retention?

Great job! I have the same problem! I don’t have much time and it’s difficult to remember everything. I try to approach language the same way I approach mathematics: practice one concept at a time and do it a lot until it feels natural. For example, I was just practicing 「からには」 so I just made up sentences that use 「からには」. I try to practice one skill at a time. It is difficult to find the time, though!
