I guess we can use "meddler" on its own but for some reason it doesn't sound quite right to me in this title. "Meddling fool" is a set phrase and makes more sense given the content of your story.

I changed "charge" to "money" in the last part of the sentence, because "charge" brings to mind business fees, bills, etc. Since you are talking about yourself as a person, I think "money" sounds more natural in that case.
Or you could say something like, "I don't need the money because I'm just trying to help."
