Maths was one of the outstanding discoveries of the humankind. Unlike Nuclear energy or Radio, Maths was not created by anyone. It's a basic science and it was there. Only the human intervension to bring light into it was delayed.

"Was not" is commonly written as "wasn't".
It's a basic science and it was there.
OThe only the human intervension to bring light into it was delayeding that was delayed was its realization by humans.
