The sooner If I finish homework, the earlier I can play a games.

4 am/is/are being

I am usually a patient person ordinarily.

But I am being so inrunning out of patientce now because my friend still havesn't arrived yet.

You can't really use being impatient for yourself like this. You can say:
"My friend is being usually responsible, but right now he's being so irresponsible. He still hasn't done finished his part in the group project, even though it's due in 30 minutes."

79 Singular and plural

Five meters is very far.

100 Adjectives and adverbs 1 (quick/quickly)

He is a too lazy man, he evecan hardly find a job.

"too" is a bit special, you can't use it like that in front of nouns.

67 See somebody do and see somebody doing

When I heard a baby crying, I will give higave them a hug.

or: When I hear a baby crying, I give them a hug.
or: If I hear a baby crying, I will give them a hug.
You have to match the tenses.

I saw a strange person hangs ing around in my garden.

or: I saw a strange person hang around in my garden.

After 15 mintutes, he left.

29-30 May and might 1-2

If I have no work, I mightay have to sleep on the street.

When you don't know the gender of the person being referred to, you use "they"/"them" (this is different from the 他們 they/them). I know that in Chinese, you can use 他 for "he" or if you don't know the gender, but it's not like that in English.

"Might" sounds slightly more hypothetical than "may", so I felt "may" works better here. It might be confusing at first because you'd probably just use 可能 for both in Chinese..? It's really only a slight nuance difference.

You refered "hypothetical" = "if", didn't you?
In the original sentence, I did express "hypothetical"..
(perhaps I have misunderstood)

"hypothetical" can mean "if", but in this case I'm using the word to mean that there's less possibility of it happening. "might ~" sounds slightly less likely to happen than "may ~".

well, it hasn't been written "may>might" in cambridge grammar book.
I will take in my notes.
And, if "a situation isn't real", use "might", right?

Yup, that's right.

This is less of a set-in-stone rule, but more of an intuitive nuance difference. So your usage of "might" there wasn't wrong, it just felt slightly unnatural to me (a native speaker). Over time, you'll get more used to these small nuance differences & come to be able to form more natural sentences.

Cheers,

Thank you. May I ask about "may" of past? I know "might" = "may" of past tense.
But grammar book has been written "might have + p.p" = about past, so when do I use one of them?

Not sure about the technicalities, but I don't think that's a meaningful distinction. "May have + p.p" is also very common.
