It's incredible how David Fincher always finds the way to make interesting a film from the script. I think he mastered his writing/directing avoiding being repetitive on its sequences, in contrast to other directors that mark their personality over the scenes and you can guess who is the director. David makes you enjoy the moment, dialogues, interactions, etcetera. Se7en, Gone girl, Fighting Club, Mindhunter, are really well made and engaging from the beginning.
I wish I could make a film like his.

Possible alternative for last part of this sentence, though I'm not really sure: "in contrast to other directors who are all so predictable in their own ways that all you can think while watching is, 'alright, now who did this one?'"
The last part slightly confuses me, mainly because I fail to see how "mark their personality over the scenes" contrasts with the last part. Although, I think I kind of get what you mean.
