To be honest, i've never did a exchance year or something like that. My aunt spend some weeks somewhere in spain to improve her spain skills. After her Trip, she told us about her friendly hosts and how much she learnd in a very short time. And i think i understand the fascination about the trip.
A year abroad or just some weeks abroad has a lot of geat advantages. You learn a new language way faster and get authentic insights of the culture and the way people live there. It can be an eye-opening experience, that you will not forget.
What stopped me? Well, on the one hand the high costs and on the other hand my worries. My parents has four children and had not much money.
But i also was afraid about being alone in a new country. I am one of those shy people, so i head thoughts like: am I good enough in english yet? Will i meet some new people?
I was very young and I would do it differently today. :)

Good work! You just tend to use incorrect tenses (though tenses are admittedly tricky) and you have a few spelling errors. Also just a note: The pronoun "I" and any contractions using "I" like "I've" or "I'd" are always capitalized.
To be honest, iI've never did an exchancge year or something like that.
When using the words “I” “I’m” “I’ve” capitalize the letter I

Capitalize names of counties.
Spent is the past tense version of spend

You can use the phrase “a lot” or if you want to sound more formal you can use “many”
