I'm intolerant with gluten (33)

I found out I'm intolerant with gluten these past six months.

I'm not sure what I am supposed to say it in Japanese, so basically, after I eat something including gluten, my stomach gets uncomfortable.

For example, after I eat bread, past or udon noodles made out of wheat flour my stomach gets gassy and rumbling.

I came across a video about gluten free food on YouTube, and I thought I would try it.

I found a bakery that they sell bread made out of rice flour, and I tried some.

Other than that, I tried to cook past made out of soybean flour.

My stomach has been quite comfortable, after I started having gluten free food.

I had had the problem for a long time, but now I'm glad I found out the reason.

I would be happy if you fixed whole the sentence to sound more natural.

My first suggestion was: > I found out I'm gluten intolerant at some point in the past six months. After reading ここ半年くらい前に, I thought that maybe "about six months ago" was more accurate?

I found out I'm had an intolerant withce to gluten within these plast six months. I found out I had an intolerance to gluten within the last six months.

"What I am supposed to say in Japanese" "How I am supposed to say it in Japanese" Either is fine, but "how to say" is more natural. something -> anything: Normally I would let this slide, but I took a second look after seeing "I would be happy if you fixed whole the sentence to sound more natural." written at the bottom. It's subtle because "Something" and "anything" both work here, but "anything" feels stronger. "Something" brings to mind more individual instances of a thing, like "I'm going to have something with eggs in it for lunch," whereas "anything" marks the whole category like in "I can't eat anything with eggs in it due to my allergies." I think I remember this video on "some" vs "any" being pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIip5DgiVyc

The "all" here isn't needed, but I think English speakers tend to add it. Maybe it has a kind of しまう nuance because now you're in this situation and you're just sort of stuck with it.

"Other than / aside from that" is fine, but "I tried to cook pasta" refers to a specific instance so "then", specifying the sequence of events, felt correct. If you use "other than that", I would've expected it to be phrased differently. > Other than that, I've also tried cooking pasta made from soybean flour. The "have" here makes it a little more abstract and doesn't imply a specific instance. You might've done it one or several times. It's a bit hard to explain though.
