Sometimes I hear the phrase "life is only one" and I think it has more truth than we want to accept. It's not about living in a rush, or doing crazy things all the time. It's about remembering that we're not here to make other people happy. I believe that idea can give us the courage to do things that really make us happy: change jobs, start a project, travel alone, say no, or even get away from someone who doesn't add to our lives. Life is short, but also long if we live it on automatic, always waiting for the "perfect moment". For me, that phrase is an invitation to move, make mistakes, try again, and above all, choose what makes us feel alive. Do you also feel that sometimes we forget that?

Great Job, there weren't really any mistakes in this! However, I don't think I've ever heard of the phrase "life is only one" before (at least in English). I have heard "YOLO" (you only live once) plenty of times though, which has the same meaning as what you described. That word/phrase is very common in English (at least, it was so about a decade ago).
