Do you believe in life after death? The answer might be different from your culture and religion.
Cremation is the most common choice in Taiwanese funeral. When we burn the coffin, we yell 'The fire is coming, run!' to the dead, because we are afraid they would be too attached to the living world and forget to run.
We also burn papercrafts for them, in tradition, those would include money, houses, and servants, making sure our beloved lived a comfortable life in another world. Nowadays, papercrafts have advanced so much that you can buy paper cars, paper mah-jong tables, or even paper iPhones.

Thank you so much! I believe it is an issue. Some temples have been trying different methods, like centralized burning paper money or even a virtual papercraft, but the traditional rituals are still hard to change.
