Learning Russian

Recently I started learning Russian from baby steps. I learn it because I think its pronunciation is very cute. However, the ''p'' sound in Russian is driving me crazy. I can't purr like a cat.
I found out something interesting during my Russian learning. ''Bye (пока)'' in Russian sounds almost the same as ''Idiot (バカ)'' in Japanese. Imagine a Russian says goodbye to a Japanese, that must be fun.

Corrections

Recently I started learning Russian fromby taking baby steps.

"from baby steps" does not sound natural.

I am learning it because I think itsthe pronunciation is very cute.

You are currently learning English. This is an action still taking place in the present, so you should use the present continuous tense.

However, the ''p'' sound in Russian is driving me crazy.

Feedback

This was very well written. You have a good sense of humor and a good grasp of English.

''Bye (пока)'' in Russian sounds almost the same as ''Idiot (バカ)'' in Japanese.

Imagine a Russian says goodbye to a Japanese person, that must be fun.

Usually for countries where the adjective ends in "-ese", you have to add "person" or else it may sound rude/derogatory.
