Learning is a neverending process throughout a person's life. Certain individuals want to deep dive in more abstract concepts, whereas some others prefer to improve their knowledge regarding empirical applications. As for myself, I would prefer to plunge into Pure Mathematics.
To begin with, Mathematics has been astonishing minds since the beginning of time. Pythagoras, Euclide and Newton are amongst those who had the pleasure of appreciating Pure Mathematics at its full potential. That said, an excitement for learning was the driving force behind their desire to acquire this knowledge. Should I get to grips with the abstract thinking that it requires, I am sure that I would enjoy the ride.
Not only is Pure Mathematics beautiful but it also provides useful insights in innumerable branches of knowledge. For instance, this subject is constantly used in Engineering when someone is computing the necessary materials for building a car's engine. Moreover, it is heavily implemented when it is desired to create new and efficient software algorithms, which is a deeply rooted problem within the Computer Science field.
Furthermore, in the long run, learning Pure Mathematics will greatly improve the logical reasoning of those who take the time to master it. It is not by chance that some of the greatest minds of all time have fallen in love with this topic. These smart individuals had the opportunity of training their thought process by applying the abstract concepts that this particular subject necessitates.
