Last Saturday's hike

As you may know, I went hiking on Saturday.

The trail was in the hills behind a small village. There were many waxberry trees in these hills.

Now is the season of waxberry ripening. The owners allowed us to pick some to eat because they don't have enough people to pick fruits and it would be a waste to let the ripe fruits fall.

One of my friends was lucky to meet an owner just picking fruits, the owner invited her to eat the ripest ones.

I was a little jealous because I wanted to meet an owner to ask for a beautiful branch with fruits.

It was still a great hike. You can watch this video to see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88zwNw2G39c

If you have any suggestions about the captions, feel free to let me know.

Have a nice day!

Thank you for the corrections and feedback!

As you may know(already) know / As you might have already heard, I went hiking on Saturday.

More natural

The trail was in [the hills | some hills] behind a small village.

More natural, since you haven’t mentioned the village or hills before.

There were many waxberry trees in these hills.

Now is the season ofwhen waxberryies ripening.

More natural:
Waxberries are in season now.

When we say a fruit is “in season” we mean it’s ripe and ready to be harvested and/or it’s plentiful in markets.

The owners allowed us to pick some to eat because they doidn't have enough people to pick fruits[the fruit | it] and it would [be | have been] a waste to let the ripe fruits fall to the ground.

Suggestion: …didn’t have enough people to pick it and didn’t want it to go to waste.

One of my friends was lucky enough to meet [an owner rchard owner | a landowner] (just) picking fruits, the owner who invited her to eat the ripest ones.

I was a little jealous because I wanted to meet an landowner to ask for a beautiful branch withfull of fruits.

It was still a great hike.

Feedback

I don’t remember ever having eaten waxberries. What do they taste like? Is the skin edible, or must they be peeled before eating?

Thank you! I learned a lot from your corrections and feedback.

The skin is edible and the ripe ones are sweet with a little sour. When you have the chance to eat waxberries, remember not to eat too many at once, or your teeth will be as sour as mine on Saturday.

As you may know, I went hiking on Saturday.

The trail was in the hills behind a small village.

Now iIt's the season ofwhen waxberry ripenings.

But I'd probably just say "They're ripe now."

The owners allowed us to pick some to eat because they don't have enough people to pick fruits and it would be a waste to let the ripe fruits fall, so they'd otherwise go to waste.

What you wrote is fine, but this is more natural.

The hike was truly beautiful and great, despite the recent hot weather.
