Language Thoughts

I'm planning to challenge myself on raising my English conversational level. Starting on December, I will be talking to strangers on a Discord channel where people practice languages, but solely using English for at least 1 hour each day. Honestly, I should've be doing this already.

I'm also thinking about start learning Spanish next year, since It's a really easy language to learn if you already know Portuguese, and that's my case. Also, Spanish seems to be an important language to learn, especially when you live in a country surrounded by seven or more countries where Spanish is the main language. On the other side, I'm not sure what kind of content would I consume throughout my studying routine. I think that the closest Spanish media that's related to my current life is a mexican TV show called "El Chavo del Ocho" which is a really popular series here in Brazil. I've been watching this show pretty much for my whole life, and I watch it every night so I can fall asleep easier (I suffer with insomnia). Maybe switching from the Portuguese dubbed version to the original Spanish audio makes my sleeping routine more interesting.

Corrections

I'm planning to challenge myself on raising my English ("to", or maybe "above") conversational level.

Starting on December, I will begin talking to strangers on a Discord channel where people practice languages, but will be using solely using English for at least 1 hour each day.

Honestly, I should've been doing this already.

I'm also thinking about starting to learning Spanish next year, since It's a really easy language to learn if you already know Portuguese, and that's my case.

I might say something more like "and I do" instead of "and that's my case."

Also, Spanish seems to be an important language to learn, especially when you live in a country surrounded by seven or moremore than seven countries where Spanish is the main (could also say "official" or "spoken") language.

"seven or more" kinda makes it sound like you aren't certain how many Spanish speaking countries there are around you.

On the other sideThough, I'm not sure what kind of content I would I consume throughout mywhen studying routineit.

Might want to clarify more here like "I'm not sure what kind of *Spanish* content I would consume"

I think that the closest Spanish media that's related to my current life is a mexican TV show called "El Chavo del Ocho" which is a really popular series here in Brazil.

In the last sentence, you say you aren't sure what content you would consume, but in this sentence you think of something you might be interested in consuming. Because of this, I might have written this sentence differently, like "Well, there is this one show..."

I've been watching this show pretty much for my whole life, and I watch it every night so I can fall asleep easier (I suffer with insomnia).

Maybe switching from the Portuguese dubbed version to the original Spanish audio would/could makes my sleeping routine more interesting.

Maybe try to tie this sentence back in with the one a few sentences ago where you said you weren't sure what kind of content to consume.

Feedback

Really good English man. I'm sure you'll improve even further in no time.

Thanks for your feedback and the compliment!

Honestly, I should've been doing this already.

Wrong tense - been should be used because it is the progressive tense of "be"

I'm also thinking about start learning Spanish next year, since It's a really easy language to learn if you already know Portuguese, and that'which is my case.

This is a small error (which means you're doing good overall). You just got the expression wrong.

On the other sidehand, I'm not sure what kind of content would I consume throughout my studying routine.

"On the other side makes sense" but it is not the common expression that most English-speakers use.

Feedback

Your English is very clear with only minute mistakes. There's not much to recommend as a next step, but try to watch out for common phrases/sayings that you're missing.

"on the other side" isn't a standard collocation in English although it is clear what you mean
