Lang-8

I went to see Lang-8 this morning because its last day is coming up. Actually, it's already tomorrow!
Earlier, I was informed by a user that there is someone preparing a successor site. And today I tried the application to transfer past posts, which was provided by the user. But I gave up on it because it seemed to need hours on my slow Chromebook. It's okay because I've taken all the needed notes to my Blogger blog.
I am going to try the new site, Nyan-8, when it has started.

I'm curious about Nyan-8 too! But I decided not to export my old posts. They are very old, and it's nice to have a fresh start. :)

It should be: "it takes too much time ..."

Thanks again. :)
Yes, Nyan-8 sounds like a good site with even more improved features according to the developer.
Yes, I meant the person creating it provided an app to transfer the old posts from Lang-8 to Nyan-8.
I have manually copied and pasted things to my Blogger blog. I was doing so for years because this way I can find things easier using the search function of the blog service. :)

Awww, you don't like LangCorrect? Seems like a nice website so far. Why do you recommend Nyan-8 over LangCorrect?

Lang-8

I went to seetook a peek at Lang-8 this morning because its last day is coming up.

This is to more closely resemble your original Japanese text.

Actually, it'Come to think of it, its last day is already tomorrow!

"Come to think of it" was to more closely match your Japanese.
"It's already tomorrow" is also fine, but might be a little confusing, so I made it more explicit.

Earlier, I was informed by a user that there is/was someone preparing a successor site.

Technically the verb within the subordinate clause should match the main verb.
Here, the main verb is "informed," so we can change "is" to "was." But, keeping it as "is" is also okay.

And today I tried the application to transfer/migrate past posts (from Lang-8 to the new site), which was provided by the user.

But I gave up on it because it seemed to need hours on my slow Chromebook.

It's okay because I've taken all the needed notes to my Blogger blog.

I am going to try the new site, Nyan-8, when it has started.

I would also be interested in Nyan-8 when it launches. I like LangCorrect, but it feels limited sometimes. Plus, Nyan-8 seems to have a bigger community of Japanese people; since I'm learning Japanese it may be more helpful.

'Nyan' suggests that, huh. I'll see you there, too, when it's started. (^_-)
