Lakes in Mountains
I am currently watching YouTube about lakes in the mountains.
When I was young, my family used to travel to streams in the mountains.
There were clean and cold water, but not enough swimming.
One day, I heard that there are many beautiful streams in Rocky mountain.
One of the best scenes is lakes Louise on Rocky mountain, Canada.
When I had a chance to Canada, I visited there and it was totally blown away the scenes.
Of cource, the streams near the lake were also beautiful.
If I want to remind my memories there, I usually watch pictures and videos about Lake Louise.
If I have a chance, I will visit there again.

"I've been watching..." sounds better when describing something you have done recently and continue to do.
When I was young, my family used to travelake trips to streams in the mountains.
"take trips" is sometimes more colloquial than "travel.

"was" instead of "were" because water is singular.
