Vacation at Home

I really liked to go abroad during my vacations.

If I had a chance, I went to Japan or China once a year.

These days, it isn’t possible because of Covid-19

This time, I just stayed at home during my 3 day vacation last week.

At first, it was very boring since I couldn’t see anything outside.

However, I finally enjoyed spending my time at home.

I read many books and watched videos.

In the end, I changed my mind that a home vacation was also good.

Vacation at Home

This sentence has been marked as perfect!

I really liked to go abroad during my vacations.

I really liked to gotravel abroad during my vacations. I really like to travel abroad during my vacations.

“like” in present tense because you still like it now

If I had a chance, I went to Japan or China once a year.

If I had a chance, I wentould travel to Japan or China once a year. If I had a chance, I would travel to Japan or China once a year.

“If I had a chance” means that it didn’t happen. You are just imagining it, so you should use “would” instead of “went” would + action If I were rich (I am not), I would buy a house. If I had the choice (I didn’t have the choice in reality), I would eat the apple instead.

These days, it isn’t possible because of Covid-19

However, I finally enjoyed spending my time at home.

HTowards the end of my vacation, however, I finally enjoyed spending my time at home. Towards the end of my vacation, however, I enjoyed spending my time at home.

Using “finally” sounds to me like you’re actively doing something or trying hard to “finally” enjoy your time at home. I am not sure how to explain the difference but maybe this website helps! https://www.tolearnenglish.com/exercises/exercise-english-2/exercise-english-112889.php

I read many books and watched videos.

In the end, I changed my mind that a home vacation was also good.

In the end, I changed my mind that a home vacation was also good. In the end, I changed my mind that a home vacation was also good.

Usually, when I say “I changed my mind that....”, I would continue with my first opinion. For example, “I changed my mind that he is a nice guy. He is a mean person.” Or I would use a full stop if I want to state my changed opinion. “I changed my mind. He is a mean person.” I didn’t correct your text because I couldn’t find grammar explanation on this. You can also say: At first, I thought that home vacation is boring, but I changed my mind.
