Korean Keyboard Layouts

The standard Korean keyboard is based on the two-pairs method (Du Beol Sik)

The system considers Korean characters combining both consonants and vowels.

On the other hand, there is one more keyboard method called three-pairs method (Se Beol Sik)

The system considers the characters combining initial consonants, medial vowels and last consonants.

Unlike the Qwerty method and the Dvorak method, three-pairs method isn't the standard now.

However, it is the fastest way of inputting Korean charcters, so stenographers usually use it.

And there is less chance of the carpal tunnel syndrome.

For these reasons, I prefer to use the three-pairs method.

Feedback

Fascinating! I never looked deeply into this subject before. I tried the 3-set keyboard, and it was a little confusing, so I use the 2-set keyboard instead. :P

Great job! :)
