When I got up this morning, I felt today is Wednesday. In the week, I don’t like Tuesday and Wednesday because those days normally, I’m tired. On Thursday the next day is Friday, so I like the day and also I like Friday because the next day is Saturday. Monday is out of the question.

Why not "is"?

Since you write "days" afterwards it had to be in the plural before.

Why today "was" Wednesday? Why not "is"?
Because you wrote "felt" and that's simple past. You "felt it was something" not "felt it is something". Although I believe someone could argue that you could write it this way I don't believe it sounds natural.
