You may have seen the cat's eyes glow in the dark. That's because there is a reflector called tapetum behind the cat's eye. Yesterday my wife took a photo of a cat in our garden. When she took the photo, the flash shone, and the reflections on the tapetum made an awesome photo LOL.

You may have seen thea cat's eyes glow in the dark.

It can be any cat, that's why we use "a" instead of "the."

That's because there is a reflector called tapetum behind the cat's eye.

Yesterday my wife took a photo of a cat in our garden.

When she took the photo, the flash shonewent off, and the reflections on the tapetum made an awesome photo LOL.

The "flash goes off" is a set phrase. Since this is past tense, the "flash went off."
