As a child who grew up in the countryside, I don't have a good impression of. My childhood was in the 1970s, when the Caucasian countryside was very poor. We didn't even have enough food.
But I think my childhood was still happy, and we could all play carefree before going to elementary school at the age of eight. In the summer, we would catch cicadas under the trees, and camp on the threshing ground. In the autumn, we would go to the fields to watch adults catch hares. In the spring, we would dig wild vegetables in fields. In the winter, we would make snowmen and have snowball fights.
Recently, the epidemic situation in China had been on the rise again, and the most serious of which was Yangzhou. The number of infections there has been as high as over 500. But our city hasn't had a single case of infection so far, so it's really safe now. Moreover, we have almost achieved full vaccination. So our lives are almost the same as usual now.
This epidemic has brought huge economic losses to people all over the world, and we still don't know when it will end. Maybe it will coexist with human beings for a long time like the cold, and we should be prepared for it.
Now, we celebrate the mid-autumn festival, and the main tradition is buying some gifts for the elders. Of course, the mooncake is necessary, and then the families eat dinner together. That is basically the case, at least in my opinion. For some young people, maybe, they will take advantage of the holiday and go out haveing some fun.
This afternoon when I got off work, I saw many fallen yellow flowers on the streets, and they were very beautiful. I looked up and found that rows of locust trees were blooming with little yellow flowers. So I recorded a short video for you to enjoy.
