Japan- Car and Food

In Aomori, we took a car for the rest of our travel.
We chose this transport for discover some places far from mass tourism.
My boyfriend was the only driver, because I'm not very confortable to drive a car in an other country.
In particular in a country which cars drive on the left.
First hours on the road was pretty impressive, fortunately, he is a good driver!
Same day, we were on a big supermarket and we discovered a large choices of japanese foods!
We needed to translate all product, but the translation was not very effective.
For exemple, on the back of a packaging, the traduction with Google Lens was "Big wave, him, old man, old woman, fairy tail, moon."
It didn't stop us and we took a looooot of things!
The price was so low!
Just for sushi, the gap with the french price was astonishing!
And for the first time, I tasted really nice mochi.
I miss japanese food a lot.

Japan - Car (Driving) and Food

We chose this transport formethod of transport in order to discover some places far from mass tourism.

SOn the same day, we were oin a big supermarket and we discovered a large choices of japanese foods!

“On a supermarket” would mean you were standing on top of the roof

We needed to translate all productthe , but the translation was not very effective.

Thank you for your feedback!

I'm happy to share my trip with you! :)

Sadly, I don't remembrer what was the product with the strange translation.

(Maybe I really stoled the car and the food ahaha! )

I asked Google Gemini (AI) what the product could possibly be to produce such a funny translation! :)
Here's the response: "It’s most likely a box of wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) named after The Tale of Princess Kaguya (explaining the references to the old man, old woman, moon, and fairy tale) and the packaging likely features the ‘Great Wave’ to highlight it as an Aomori coastal specialty."

Ooooh, AI is really impressive! That makes sense! Thank you! :)

We chose this mode of transport forto discover some places far from mass tourism.

"transport" on its own is fine, but stilted. "Mode of transport" reads smoother.

My boyfriend was the only driver, because I'm not very conmfortable towith driveing a car in an other country.

You can reliably use the construction "comfortable with [verb]ing"

In particular in a country whichere cars drive on the left.

FirstThe first few hours on the road wasere pretty impressive, fortunately, he is a good driver!

Number matching.

SThe same day, we were oin a big supermarket and we discovered a large choicesrange of japanese foods!

"Choice" doesn't have size in this sense, but "range" does.

We needed to translate all the product names, but the translation was not very effective.

For exeample, on the back of aone packaginge, the traducnslation with Google Lens was "Big wave, him, old man, old woman, fairy tail, moon."
