Home stay is not wrong, but is in an uncommon term to actually use in English. People would normally say something like "I rented a room/house/apartment". Or maybe "Stayed in an airbnb" is getting popular these days, even if the platform you used wasn't actually airbnb.

* not sure about "round and round". maybe it is ok or you can just omit it. But the sentence is okay so you can express your description.
